About Me

My name is Carol. I’m a happily married, empty-nester, living in Upstate South Carolina. I teach vocal instruction, lead a community group together with my husband, love the mountains and value authentic and meaningful relationships. My life is blessed, but far from perfect, marked with equal measures of messy, mundane and marvelous moments. Life is hard and God is good as He dwells with us in both the beauty and brokenness of life; He is an ever Present God. In this ever changing world of chaos and confusion, there remains a never changing God who speaks with calmness and clarity through His life-giving Word. I look to God’s Word as my Source for every circumstance. I seek the scriptures not merely for information, but equally important for inspiration. My devotional writings are inspired by my thoughts and reflections through the lens of scripture. I share my writings, in the form of “grace notes” with friends.

So what’s a grace note anyway?

A grace note is actually a musical term describing a small, seemingly insignificant note that enhances the beauty of a melody. Basically grace notes are added notes that bring beauty and distinction to other notes. I believe in the very same manner, the words we speak, just like these tiny notes, have the exact same potential of bringing beauty and distinction to the life of another. The words we speak have power. When spoken with the intent purpose of uplifting others, our words become life-giving agents of blessing, bringing grace to the hearer. It is my heartfelt hope and prayer that both the words I speak and the words that I write, will always and only, be notes of grace that edify, inspire and bring encouragement to others. God bless you friends,

Carol
