I Believe…

I believe that there is one true God who lives eternally and loves unconditionally. (Psalm 90:2, Jeremiah 31:3 NLT)

I believe God is triune; Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwelling together as One. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Colossians 2:9)

I believe God is good, does good, and is the source of everything good. (Psalm 34:8, James 1:17)

I believe God is relational and desires for all people to know Him. ( 1 Timothy 2:4, Jeremiah 9:24)

I believe God sent Jesus to earth to demonstrate His love to all humanity and to reveal the way to eternity. (John 3:16, 1 John 4:9 & 10)

I believe Jesus is the Son of God, the Word of God, and the only way to God. ( Luke 9:35, John 1:1, John 14:6)

I believe Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life; died on a cross for the sins of the world; was buried in a tomb; and rose victoriously after three days in the grave. (Hebrews 4:19, 1 John 2:2, Philippians 2:8, 1 Corinthians 15:4)

I believe Jesus is the mediator between God and man and continuously intercedes to God in response to the prayers that are offered to God in His Name. (1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 7:25)

I believe the Holy Spirit is a gift from God, sent by Jesus to His church. (John 14:26, 16:7, Acts 2:38)

I believe the Holy Spirit resides in the hearts of all those who confess Jesus as Lord. ( 1 Corinthians 3:16. Ephesians 1:13)

I believe the Holy Spirit empowers all believers to live fruitfully and faithfully and effectively for God. (Ephesians 3:16, Acts 1:8, Philippians 2:13, Galatians 5:22)

I believe the Bible is the literal and infallible Word of God, written by man but inspired by God. (Luke 1:37 NLT, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

I believe the Bible (God’s Word) is alive, active, and powerful. (Hebrews 4:12, Isaiah 55:10-11)

I believe the Bible (God’s Word) imparts wisdom, provides direction, and offers counsel, guidance, correction, courage, and comfort to God’s children. (John 16:13, 14:26, Isaiah 11:2)

I believe the Bible (God’s Word) is the source for everything pertaining to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3, Matthew 4:4, Proverbs 30:5, Proverbs 4:20-22, James 1:25)
